Meet Gail Hunnington Marks, one of our gardeners. She was working in the garden and wanted to see the 225+ year old loom. She's a retired art teacher from Lowville, and has her own loom. She has generously volunteered to "rework" ours and make it usable for demonstrations, etc. if we ever wanted to. (Which we do!!) Update On Hall Projects

We have been very busy with projects and updates here at the Hall during 2022/2023. The garden restoration continues. Thanks to our Master Gardener, Gina Mallette, and our 25+ volunteer gardeners, we have completed removing the weeds from most of the garden, and have planted one triangle as an herb garden. TAG Grant Completed

Crawford & Stearns Architects & Preservation Planners turned in their TAG Grant final report at the end of July. The report details observations made during several visits to Constable Hall regarding the physical condition of the building. This valuable information will be used to set maintenance and repair priorities. Successful Birthday Celebration

Season Is Under Way

Our 2019 season is in full swing with weddings, prom pictures, and a successful Arts & Craft Fair/Cruise In (despite the so-so weather). Come and visit our peaceful grounds and watch the ducks tending their eggs by the pond, stroll the garden and enjoy the North Country summer. DHPSNY Strategic Planning Grant

We are pleased to announce that Constable Hall was selected by the Documentation Heritage & Preservation Services for New York for assistance in Strategic Planning. This award, whose value is estimated to be $7,000 to $9,000, is intended to assist Constable Hall in developing a three year plan to strengthen the organization by defining a set of shared goals and a vision for the future. TAG Grant Awarded

Constable Hall is delighted to announce that is has won a grant from the Preservation League of NYS. This competitive award greatly assists us in performing a building condition survey of the Hall. This work will be performed by Crawford & Stearns Architects & Preservation Planners located in Syracuse.
