News Updates
By Constable Hall on January 18, 2023
We had a wonderful time with John Rogers and his wife as we learned about bluebirds and their habitats. We had a nice turnout, and MANY bluebird house kits went home to be built and installed. Our bluebird population is in great hands with this co-founder of the NYS Bluebird Association! We are pleased to announce that the new monument, which marks the beginning of the Veterans Memorial Path, has been installed. Thank you to…

Update On Hall Projects
By Constable Hall on May 1, 2022
Even though our events and tours were impacted during 2021, many projects went forward. The garden restoration continued during 2021. We have completed removing the weeds from two triangles that will be re-planted this summer and we are setting up a third triangle as an herb garden. A composting system has been set up. During 2022 we look forward to adding railings on the steps, continue leveling the garden by adding dirt, improving the irrigation…

By Constable Hall on May 1, 2021
2020 was a difficult year for Constable Hall. The Hall never opened for tours and the only event held was our Golf Tournament. Due to the support of our members, we were able to pay the bills and make some progress on “behind the curtain” maintenance projects. There are new benches in the garden, and the Don/John show has restored the garden fence. The gardens themselves are in fine form. Remember to check our…

Our many pre-opening activities are finished and we are ready for visitors. The mallards are swimming in our pond; come and visit them and us. It takes a lot of work to open the Hall after a North Country winter – cleaning the interior, preparing the gardens, cleaning up the grounds, turning on the water, putting out the tables and benches, etc. South Lewis class members came by today and helped enormously with various chores.…
